I have lived in the village since 1998 and my wife grew up in the village. Both of my sons attended the village schools and various village clubs as they grew up. We all appreciate the friendliness of the village and the amenities that so many groups work tirelessly to maintain.
In the past I have served the community as chairman of the local Scout group, helping to develop the facilities of the group and to ensure opportunities for more young people to attend. I have supported the village show and fireworks events and recently helped to judge the show stalls for the Jester cup.
My work as an IT Executive in a global IT Services business meant that I frequently had to travel away from the village which made me appreciate our wonderful village community even more. Now that I work primarily from home, I have the time to be more involved in the village and I can often be found out and about walking with our Labrador Ted enjoying the many footpaths and lanes that surround us.
I joined the Parish Council so that I can help to ensure the character of the village is maintained whilst we also embrace the requirements of modern living, and to do what I can to support village events and our community.
