Robert Gill

I have lived in Chalfont St Giles since 2006 and prior to this 10 years in Chalfont St Peter.  Both of my children have grown up here and we all love the village and its facilities, the easy access to open spaces, the shops and the huge number of events managed and run by members of the community which we involve ourselves in.

I am the Managing Director of an IT Innovation company and have the pleasure of being able to work from home and work with interesting people worldwide.

I joined the Parish Council in 2015 as I am passionate about improving the facilities and opportunities within the village, but without destroying any of its old world charm.

As well as being the Chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee and member of the Open Spaces Committee, I’m  heavily involved in many of the yearly events that the village put on which I enjoy immensely.

Four years ago, following medical training, I started volunteering as a Community First Responder and for the last year have run the Chalfont and Gerrards Cross Scheme including helping to train new volunteers. In this role I have had the privilege to be able to help people who call 999 as they are in need of medical attention and provide support while they wait for an Ambulance to arrive.  I am proud of all the Chalfont and Gerrards Cross volunteers who have continued to provide this support despite the challenges of the current pandemic.
