We need a school crossing patroller – could it be you?

Village Clean Up Day Saturday 27 May 2023
The Village Clean Up Day helps us to get the village in good order before the Best Kept Village Competition judges attend and make their judgements. We know that having the prestigious ‘Best Kept Village’ sign on the village green brings travel and tourism to our village, which in turn helps to support the shops and businesses that we value so much and love to use.
The judging will take place between 1 June and 15 July, so whilst we would like as many of you to come along on Saturday between 10am and 12 noon, we would also like you to be extra vigilant throughout the judging period and help to keep our areas weed and litter free.
On Saturday we will concentrate on litter picking and clearing weeds and overgrown vegetation around the area. The All Together Community Litter pickers will be attending if you prefer to litter pick in groups. We will also be giving away some limited edition coronation litter picking bags containing a litter picker, bin bags, gloves and high vis vest.
Meet us on the village green between 10am and 12 noon.
