Chalfont St Giles Village, winner of the Pushman Cup 2023
Chalfont St Giles village has won the Pushman Cup in the Buckinghamshire Best Kept Village Competition. The competition has several categories and the Pushman Cup is for villages with a population of over 3000.
There are many elements of the village that are judged. We achieved top scores for our war memorials, our recreation ground, play areas and green spaces and for our shops and pubs. Best Kept Village Marking Schedule
This is a wonderful accolade for the village.
Thank you to our shops and pubs who help to make the village centre an enticing and exciting place to visit and to everyone who gave up their time to make the village look wonderful during the competition.
The award will be presented to the Parish Council on Saturday 23 September – we will give more details nearer the date
Previous wins
The village was awarded the Pushman Cup in 2002, 2006, 2010, 2016, 2018.
The Tindall Cup was won in 2019, this is the cup winners cup, where every village that won a prize in the previous year enters against one another.
