We need a school crossing patroller – could it be you?
A new payment machine has been installed in Blizzards Yard Car Park, this has caused some confusion as it is not clear how to obtain the ‘one hour free’ parking.
The Car Park and Parking machines are owned and maintained by Buckinghamshire Council, however Chalfont St Giles Parish Council pay a subsidy to Buckinghamshire Council to allow residents to park for up to one hour free of charge.
To get one hour free parking using the new machine:
- Press any button on the machine to activate it from power saving mode
- Enter the registration number of your vehicle.
- Press the green button.
This process will activate your virtual free parking ticket and will send your vehicle registration and time of parking to the patrolling officer’s hand held device. There is no need to display a ticket within your vehicle and a ticket will not be produced by the machine.
You can also park using the ‘Ringo’ app and selecting the one hour free option.
